BFT Action - September 14th, 2020

BFT Action--September 2020

Take a minute right now and fill out the Yes on 15 commitment card. By filling out this short form, you can commit to voting YES on Proposition 15! The statewide goal is to ID 75% of CFT members on Yes on 15 by October 3. If CFT meets this goal that's 75,000 YES votes that Prop 15 can count on!

Virtual Phone Banking will occur throughout September and October on Tuesdays, and on November 1! Prop 15 can only win with real voter engagement. Phone banking is key to winning Prop 15!

Sign- up here to volunteer!

Check with your site rep to see which day your site has adopted. If you can't make that date, choose any other date.

BFT has printed window signs for your car or home window. The BUSD School Board race will be competitive with five candidates running. You can support the two BFT endorsed candidates, Ana Vasudeo and Laura Babitt by placing a sign in your home or car window!

Look out for an email next week from BFT Vice President Janine Waddell about contactless pick- up of signs from the BFT Office (1432 University Ave.). Prop15 Yard Signs will also be available for pick- up!

Prop 15 Digital Art Kit

Check out this digital art kit created by BFT Organizer, and King Middle School Teacher Julie Searle. Passing Prop 15 will require all hands on deck. Creating art is one of many ways to support Yes on 15! You can access the art kit here.

Help Peralta Federation of Teachers!

Peralta is at risk of being taken over by the state and needs your help in supporting a locally controlled Peralta Community College District.  Peralta needs their Chancellor to see that our community stands behind its elected leaders and that we're ready to fight to ensure that they remain in place!

You can find an action network letter here to be sent to Community College Chancellor Oakley, asking him to allow their democratically elected board to continue their good work.
