Job Title: BFT Teachers of Color Network Co-Facilitators

The BFT Teachers of Color Network is a BFT committee of members who are interested in taking action to improve the recruitment, hiring, support and retention of teachers of color in BUSD. In order to support this BFT committee the Executive Board will fund Co-Facilitator positions for the 2019-2020 school year to coordinate the work of this group, and to provide leadership on this important issue.
Facilitate at least one business meeting or mobilization of the BFT Teachers of Color Network three times per year.
Meet with District administrators working in this area, with assistance from BFT Officers, at least three times per year.
Meet four times per year with the BUSD Consultant for Teachers of Color Recruitment and Retention or BERRA TSA.
Communicate with the BFT President after each meeting.
Coordinate one social/networking event every 3 months.
Bring updates and information from the Network to the BFT Executive Board and to committees working on this issue.
Arrange for updates to the Network from BFT members working on committees related to the recruitment and retention of teachers of color in BUSD.
Term: August 12, 2021 – June 3, 2022
Compensation: $750.00 stipend for each Co-Facilitator, to be paid in June (at the same time as BFT Site Rep stipends).
